Debkund, is located at Orisha state under mayurbanj district. A beautiful waterfalls situated in dense forests.
There is a temple dedicated to Goddess Ambika. It's itself a 'SHAKTIPITH'.

A combination of mesmerizing view of 'Deo river' and dense forests. Mother Ambika lying beside the flowing Deo river-Temple and waterfall. It is very difficult to describe this beautiful place and it is only an attempt to enjoy it through pictures as much as possible.

As it is a protected area under Simlipal Tiger Reserve project, permission is required to visit here. One has to take permission from the Simlapal entry gate to enter the forest by forest department vehicle. There, after getting down from the car and crossing a little jungle path, there is a charming view of the great waterfall.

I have been here many times but every time I am left in awe as to how the temple of Mata Ambika has been standing intact from time immemorial beside this formidable waterfall without any damage. This is the immense glory of mother.

Many beautiful butterflies and birds can be seen in this beautiful dense forest.

Devakunda is a combination of two Oriya words, deva-. 'god', and kunda 'small pond, tub'. The entire fountain is said to be protected by various deities,Those are different forms of energy.
